Last year the Alta Sierra Spring Spirit Store was very popular with many of our Century students, especially our sixth graders getting ready for 7th Grade in the Fall. Delivering Letters and Pictures to the Clovis Senior Activities Center
STRONGER TOGETHER
School spirit helps form strong relationships between students, teachers and families! This week in The Positivity Project, many schools celebrated their spirit in a variety of ways.
Featured in these photos are the Century Tigers! Students at all grade levels worked on a school-wide project to write letters to elderly citizens in their community. They utilized their Other People Mindset and shared stories and messages of kindness in their letters. Kindergarten students drew pictures and wrote about their favorite things, while older students included motivating quotes in their letters. Fifth graders from the school's Kindness Committee, Principal's Advisory Committee and Student Council delivered the letters to the Clovis Senior Activity Center.
“Our Tigers love showing Positivity in Action and sharing what they’ve learned with the community!” said school psychologist Lainie Esquivel.
Most Clovis Unified schools are taking part in The Positivity Project. The program has weekly materials for each grade level that explore one of 24 character strengths youth can access to build positive relationships by understanding and exemplifying these strengths in themselves and others.

LOST & FOUND
PLEASE Put Names In Coats & Belongings
Please put names in your child's belongings, especially coats. Children take their coats off at recess while playing and leave them outside. We work hard to get lost items back to students, please help us with this by putting names in them.
Thank you!
The Century PTC sponsors the Birthday Book Club for the library. Any student who would like to participate may come to the library and purchase a book from a selection to donate to our Century library. This program has been very exciting for the students at Century. They enjoy being the first to check out their book, seeing their pictures on the birthday wall, and checking out books that have been donated by their friends.
In recognition of your donation, a label will be placed inside the front of the book, we will add your picture to our birthday wall in the library, and your donation will be acknowledged during morning announcements. At the end of each month, the names of students who participated in the Birthday Book Club will be printed in the Century Bulletin.
We will send a reminder about the Birthday Club to students the month of their birthday. This program is voluntary. If you have any questions please call Mrs. Cordova in the library at 327-8482.
If you have a birthday in the summer and would like to join the Birthday Book Club, please stop by the library for information.
