Hello Navigators,

We are excited to announce this year's Employees of the Year. Our Teacher of the Year for Nichols is Mrs. Cathy Johnston and our Classified Employee is our School Community Advisor, Vely White! Please help us in congratulating them both for their amazing contributions to our Nichols Community.

Please note that there is no school tomorrow, March 11th as our staff will be participating in staff development opportunities.

We will hold a PTO meeting tomorrow, March 11th, at 6 PM in the multi-purpose room. You can also join on Google Meet with this code:

In an effort to increase campus security Nichols received new exterior cameras. The cameras will record activities in various locations throughout the campus 24 hours a day. The Principal and Assistant Principal will have access to live video as well as video recording for 30 days.

Mark your calendar for our upcoming Book Fair. It will be held from March 18th to March 22nd.

The BASE PROGRAM provides Before & After School care. If you are interested in enrolling your Child, please contact them through their website.

We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Pauels who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.

Oceanside Unified School District has partnered with Care Solace to help families in need of mental health support. This services can help quickly find available services. We know there are times when issues come up that need to be resolved. OUSD has created a chain of communication that allows for an efficient resolution process. This is now located on our school’s website under “Our School” called Chain of Communication.
