PQ Tuesday Newsday

PQ Families,

The weather this week is truly capturing the best that fall has to offer. Sunshine, gorgeous leaves, and a breeze- this is making for perfect recess weather!

• Please join us Wednesday evening for a virtual conversation with our MTSS Coordinator, Mrs. Gina Ahearn. Mrs. Ahearn will break down how to understand STAR and DIBELS scores from a parent perspective. The meeting will start at 6 PM. Please use this link to access the meeting.

• STAR Scores have been posted to the parent portal. If you attend Wednesday's meeting, it would be great to have these accessible for the presentation.

• Stephane Matteau will meet with 5th graders for the first time this year on Friday.

• Monday, October 26th is a half day for students. PQ will dismiss at 12:00 PM, and Pre- K will dismiss students at 12:15 PM.
• Please be sure to see the message below from the Superintendent regarding emergency closing notifications.

I hope you have a wonderful week,

Mrs. Snowdon

We are continuing to conduct emergency evacuation drills at PQ. These drills are an important part of helping students and staff understand how to respond calmly and safely in the event of an emergency.

Back-to-school season brings students together, but the close contact in classrooms also accelerates the spread of seasonal germs. To ensure a healthy learning environment, the school nurse's office is open during all operational hours to assess students who feel unwell. Parents are strongly urged to keep children home if they exhibit symptoms of contagious illnesses to give them time to recover and to protect classmates.
