Superintendent's Weekly Update
March 18th, 2022
May 20, 2022
Dear Weymouth Schools' Community,
Yesterday district administrators and literacy coaches had the honor of presenting hospital administrators and medical personnel at South Shore Hospital with handwritten cards, letters, and life savers candy in care packages from all of our elementary schools that were distributed to the Emergency Room, Operating Room, Recovery Room, Maternity, Orthopedics, Occupational/Physical Therapy, Xray/Ultrasound, and the ICU/MCU departments in honor of the hospital's 100th Anniversary.
Great job to all our educators, the literacy team, and especially our students who worked so hard on these wonderful packages, and thank you to the hard-working and dedicated medical personnel right here in Weymouth.
This week Weymouth High School inducted sixty-five juniors into the WHS National Honor Society- an enormous accomplishment for our students and educators, and a historic moment for our district! Congratulations to the students, their families, the entire staff at WHS and across the district that has played a role in helping these students, and every student, reach educational excellence.
There's still a lot of teaching and learning to accomplish before the end of the school year, but our schools are determined to also find ways to engage our students, and mix in some fun. Below find a few pictures from our youngest learners at Johnson Early Childhood Center who enjoyed some special guests from Animal Affair earlier this week.
Lastly, we are so excited for our students celebrating at prom this evening, and would like to thank all of our dedicated staff members and volunteers who worked so hard to make this memorable event possible. To all our students celebrating tonight and in the coming weeks, congratulations, and as always- stay safe!
Best Regards,
Robert Wargo
