Parents,

As a school, we only allow water inside classrooms during the school day. Any outside beverages purchased before school, must be consumed or disposed of before students are allowed into class. Please help us in helping your student by being mindful of drinks purchased close to school start time. We want to ensure students have ample time to finish them before the school day begins at 8:15 am.

Thurston High School has a newsletter for their incoming class of 2029 that we will keep updating. It has lots of links and useful information.

The following (optional) fees are now available to purchase online HERE:

• Yearbook
• Student ID Card
• PE Shirt
• Instrument Rental Fee

Once on the site, click on "1st Time Parent" to create your account WITH YOUR PARENTVUE EMAIL. It will connect to your ParentVueaccount so you can purchase items for your student.

Please make yourself familiar with our other avenues of communication! These are great ways to stay up-to-date on school happenings and events (in addition to email and newsletters)!

• Cell Phone Policy: Students that bring cell phones and other electronics to the school will need to have them turned off and put away during the school hours from 8:15 to 3:05 every day. If students need to contact a parent, they should come down to the office to do so. Please help us to enforce this expectation so students can concentrate on their classes and school work while at school. You can view our cell phone policy HERE.

• Sports: We are excited to partner with Willamalane to provide after school sports. Students who are planning on participating in our fall sports of flag football, cross country, or volleyball can now register at the Willamalane website (www.willamalane.org) under “Youth Sports”. Fall sports will start on September 20th.

We are excited to have our very own online store. 10% of all proceeds come back to Briggs Middle School. There are plenty of designs to choose from and we love seeing students, parents, and community supporters rep our merch. Feel free to visit the store and check it out.
