This week in Social Studies we have revisited “How Do We Know What We Know?” and we have begun looking at Rome.
Students began the week with a look at an archaeological expedition in southern Russia and the discovery of the tomb of a warrior priestess. Students were able to follow the expedition, see the anthropological clues, and the results of a surprising dna test.
On Thursday, we began looking at the geography of Rome and how it allowed the city-state to become a powerful empire. Next week, we will look at the Punic Wars.
