It has been wonderful to see so many staff members in the building this week getting their rooms ready for the new school year!

If there is furniture in your classroom that you do not want, please put it in the hallway and mark it with a piece of paper that says "surplus". There may be another teacher that would appreciate having that piece in his or her classroom. If you have a large piece of personal furniture that is not taken, it will need to be disposed of by you.

• Reminder- you can get your key and Centegix badge from Keri when you come in.
• You can use your badge to open the front doors.
• Don't forget to send a baby picture to Keri Koons!
• During preplanning and throughout the school year, doors that will be open to enter the school building: front door (with your badge), kindergarten hallway and music hallway (with your key).
• In this newsletter we are sharing the SHE Faculty Handbook, the SHE Family Handbook, and the Fulton County Employee Handbook. Please take your time to look over these handbooks. They will also be linked in the SHE Hub so they will be easily accessible at any time. There is a sign off form at the end of the SHE Employee Handbook that needs to be completed by all staff members by August 3rd.

As a school, we will be utilizing the PBIS Rewards platform for giving PBIS points to students. If you would like to begin learning about this platform, you can see it on ClassLink. We will talk about it during preplanning. We are excited to see how we can incorporate this into our rewards system schoolwide!

Please go to the Georgia PSC website and print your Georgia Teaching Certificate and give it to Keri by August 3rd.

Also, if you are Gifted certified or are in the process of becoming Gifted Certified, please email Camille. We will receive FTE funding for Gifted students who are placed in your classroom.

Do you know of someone who would be a great substitute at Summit Hill? Please pass this information along to them! Applications opened up July 1. We are also looking for a 5th grade long term sub from September through December if you know of someone!
