Academy Announcements
Dear Academy families and friends,
First and foremost, Happy Mother's Day to all those moms, grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts and special women out there who are the roots under our feet and the wind under our wings. Thank you for all you do!
We're seeing some of the end of the year events we planned months ago quickly approaching. Stay tuned...weeks become days in a blink of an eye this time of year! Read down to the bottom as this copy of the Academy announcement has lots of new information you're going to want to see.
- MCAS update: We're done with ELA and Math and have 5th Grade Science this week. Please make sure students are on time and chromebooks are charged.
- Tuesday is a half day of school for the students due to professional development! Dismissal is promptly at 11:50AM.
- The ABC Countdown Calendar also kick off this Tuesday as well, marking the 26 remaining days of the SY23-24 school year (hard to believe it)!
- Academy will begin the placement process soon. Last Friday we sent home the Parent Placement Questionnaire to families for input. Please take a few moments to complete it. The google form closes on May 20th.
- Check out this great video for International Night. It's this Tuesday at 5PM at Chapman Middle School! We hope to see everyone there
- AAPC has a few openings on the e-board, please check their smore in the section below as nominations are now open.
- Grade 5 is doing a community service donation drive to help support The New England Wildlife Center, they built an interactive bulletin board to pump up the drive.
- We're looking for 4th and 5th graders for the Elementary Track and Field Meet on June 12th. Registration flyers went home, it is open to all (and free too).
- Last but not least, please make sure cars are not parking on the driveway roundabout before or after school. The roundabout is for buses only for safety purposes. If you plan to use the playground after school, please park off campus on Candia or Sutton St.
Thanks for all the appreciation and support this past week as well as over the year...Academy has a very strong community culture!!!
