August 2025- Back to School Addition
Welcome Back- Mr. Jordan
Dear Wilton Families,
I hope you and your family are enjoying the final days of summer and finding time to recharge and reconnect. As we prepare to welcome students back for the 2025–2026 school year, I want to take a moment to share a few important updates and express how excited we are for the year ahead.
Building Project Update
We are nearing the final stretch of our school construction project, and I appreciate your continued patience and support throughout this process. While the original completion date was scheduled for July 31st, the updated timeline now places the projected finish between mid- to late-September. In the meantime, we have been working hard to ensure that all Teachers have a classroom and are ready so student learning will proceed uninterrupted. The improvements underway will bring lasting benefits to our students, staff, and community—enhanced spaces, modernized facilities, and a learning environment we can all take pride in. The end is in sight, and what awaits us will be well worth the wait.
New Cell Phone Law
As many of you know, the North Dakota Legislature passed a new law prohibiting student cell phone use during instructional time, also referred to as "bell to bell." The Wilton School Board has adopted this policy in alignment with the law, and the district has developed administrative regulations to support a fair and consistent rollout. We encourage you to review the letter previously sent to families for more details about expectations and procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.
Looking Ahead
Despite the temporary inconveniences that come with any construction project, the atmosphere at Wilton remains positive and forward-looking. Our staff is energized and ready to create another year of meaningful learning experiences for our students.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. Together, we’re creating something special for our kids and community. I look forward to seeing everyone soon.
Warm regards,
Andrew Jordan

Welcome Back- Principals
Welcome Back, Wilton Families!
Dear Miner Families,
We hope this message finds you well and enjoying the final days of summer break. As your elementary principal, Macy Wood, and your secondary principal, Cori Hilzendeger, we are thrilled to welcome you back for what promises to be an exciting and transformative school year here at Wilton Public School.
To our returning families, welcome back! We are so grateful for your continued partnership, trust, and support. To our new families, welcome to the Miner community! We are excited to have you join our school family and look forward to getting to know you and your children.
In addition to our beautiful new spaces, this year marks the start of a new structure for our middle level. We are pleased to welcome our fifth-grade students into our 5–8 middle school, where they will benefit from tailored instruction, increased independence, and a supportive team of educators ready to guide their growth. Our upper elementary students will also transition to another part of the school, designed with their developmental needs and academic goals in mind.
We are proud to welcome new teachers and staff members to the Miner team. These staff members bring a wealth of experience, fresh perspectives, and a shared passion for student success. Together with our outstanding returning staff, we remain dedicated to fostering a culture of high expectations, meaningful relationships, and continuous improvement.
As with any major transition, we recognize there may be some growing pains in the early weeks of the school year. Construction work will continue for a few weeks into the fall, and we anticipate the occasional hiccup along the way. However, we are confident in our community's ability to adapt and support one another with flexibility and grace. Our staff will work diligently to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all students during this time of adjustment.
We want you to know that our doors are always open. Whether you have questions, concerns, ideas, or simply want to check in—we are here for you. We value open communication and strong partnerships with our families and believe that together, we can create the best possible educational experience for every child.
At Wilton, we believe in the power of relationships, the promise of every child, and the importance of doing what is best for all students. Our goal remains to provide a safe, inclusive, and academically rich environment where every student can thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically.
We can't wait to greet each of you very soon. Let’s make 2025–2026 a year to remember!
With gratitude and excitement,
Macy Wood, Elementary Principal
Cori Hilzendeger, Secondary Principal
