Wasmer Weekly Update
October 20 - October 24
Exciting Events
Special Guest - Coach Jeff Tomlin
Our 4th and 5th grade students had the amazing opportunity of listening to Coach Jeff Tomlin talk about the "Big 3 Standards." During Coach Tomlin's "Big 3 Standards" take no talent at all. This means ANYONE can do them. His "3 Big Standards" were: Do your best, do what's write, and treat others with respect. Students were able to give examples of each standard. Coach Tomlin ended his speech with encouraging students to show character that makes others want to be better. Thank you, Coach Tomlin for promoting positive character for our students!
Wasmer Ticket Celebration
Our school hit another huge milestone in our Wasmer tickets--17,655. Our school earned a BUBBLE celebration. Students were able to spend some time of their school day outside just blowing bubbles. Thank you, Wildcats, for being safe, respectful, and responsible!! See our Facebook page for more photos of grade levels!!

Run Club (4th and 5th Grade)
Dear Wasmer Families:
This year, we will be having the first annual Wasmer Turkey Trot! Very similar to Run Club but for one month students in the 4th and 5th grade can participate in November. It will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15-3:45.
Each day during the club it will have a theme so students can have fun and dress in special ways to celebrate the thanksgiving season. At the end of the club we will be doing a trot around the school!
Students will meet outside the gym before 3:15 with shoes on ready to go. Then we will stretch and go outside, weather permitting. So dressing appropriately will be necessary.
Our goal in Run Club is three main goals:
Build a love for running through activities and run ways to get moving.
Pushing ourselves past our “Comfort level” through being positive manners.
HAVE FUN.
Because Run Club is a very popular club in the upper grades. If your child misses three straight times in a row for Run Club without telling a teacher. May cause them to lose their spot in Run Club.
If you have any questions about schedule of events or Run Club general information you can always contact Wasmer Elementary and ask for Mr.A
Thank you for your support and LET’S GET TO RUNNING!!!!!!
Themes:
November 4: Wear Orange
November 6: Wear Black
November 10: Wear Red
November 13: Wear your favorite hat!
November 20: Wear White
November 25 (LAST DAY): Dress as a Turkey
Registration forms are due Tuesday, October 21st.
