Developing life-long learners through positive collaboration
Notes from Dr. Jacob
Dear MCE Families,
As we move through the month of April, I want to thank our amazing MCE families for your continued partnership and support. This month has certainly moved quickly, and it’s hard to believe we are already halfway through! Your involvement—both at home and at school—continues to play a vital role in our students’ success.
A special thank you to everyone who helped make our Preschool through 3rd Grade Grandparents Days so successful. These were truly wonderful events filled with joy, connection, and meaningful memories for our students and their families.
We have several important events coming up, so please be sure to mark your calendars. A special thank you to everyone who has already contributed donations for our upcoming PTO Carnival. We hope to see all of our families there on April 24th for a fun evening together!
As we move into the final stretch of the school year, end-of-year testing is right around the corner.
- Kindergarten–2nd grade students will complete iReady assessments in reading and math.
- 3rd–5th grade students will complete both iReady and MAP assessments.
We appreciate your support in ensuring students are present, well-rested, and ready to do their best.
As a reminder, families are encouraged to regularly check their child’s lunch balance through Infinite Campus. Ms. Debbie sends home lunch balance sheets most Fridays, so please be sure to check your child’s backpack. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for being such an important part of our MCE community as we work together to develop life-long learners through positive collaboration.
Looking forward to a strong finish to the school year,
Dr. Jacob
Principal, Montgomery City Elementary
