Dear Families,
Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Sam Demma, author of Empty Your Backpack, to our school district. His presentation to our students was truly outstanding. Sam shared the powerful message that we all carry “invisible backpacks,” and emphasized the importance of practicing small, consistent acts of kindness each day. He also spoke about respect and encouraged students to pursue what makes them happiest and what they feel most passionate about.
Even before Sam’s visit, a few sixth-grade students and one fifth-grade student had already taken the initiative to ask permission to clean up the playground. Inspired by today’s presentation, even more students stepped forward to help. We were happy to provide cleanup supplies, and they immediately got to work. It is clear that Sam’s message left a lasting impression, and we are incredibly proud of how our students are already putting his words into action.
We would also like to thank SRO Iworsky and Marshal O’Loughlin for supporting our students with additional training on our Standard Response Protocols. They shared a student-created video and took time to answer questions, reinforcing the importance of safety in our school community. We truly appreciate their continued dedication to the safety and well-being of our staff, students, and families.

- Spirit Wear orders are open until April 8th. Be sure to place your orders and show your school pride during Wildcat Wednesdays!
- Our Lost and Found is located in the foyer by the gym. Please encourage your child to check for any missing items. All unclaimed items will be donated over the upcoming vacation.
