Riverfront School

November 2026
From the Principal
We are two months into the school year, and it has been wonderful to see our students learning, growing, and demonstrating Riverfront’s Core 4 values of being Kind, Responsible, Respectful, and Safe!
We recently held our first PBIS winner event, and it was a great success! A total of 439 students earned enough points to participate in or watch the event. Congratulations to our students for their hard work and positive choices!
As we look ahead, please keep an eye out for an email from your child’s teacher to schedule your parent - teacher conference in November. We look forward to connecting with you to discuss your child’s progress and celebrate their successes.
Thank you for your continued support of Riverfront School!

Attendance Incentives
Daily attendance continues to be a priority at Riverfront. We share our attendance numbers during daily announcements to help students stay focused on being in school each day.
Students who have perfect attendance for the month are automatically entered into a gift card raffle. Each month, the class with the highest attendance will receive a Popcorn & Movie Party, a feature in our newsletter, and a morning shoutout.
We will also continue our year-long “Pie This Guy!” challenge. Students have opportunities throughout the year to earn a chance to pie Mr. Pascal at our end-of-year assembly through perfect attendance and other attendance incentives.
PBIS & Character Education
Our PBIS program recognizes students for making positive choices and demonstrating our Core 4 Values: Kind, Responsible, Respectful, and Safe. Teachers award PBIS points when students demonstrate these expectations.
Each month, the class in each grade level with the highest average points will receive a Championship Trophy.
Every two months, students will have opportunities to participate in school-wide activities based on the points they have earned. Activities may include dodgeball, relay races, and staff-vs.-student games. Students will have different opportunities to participate based on their point totals.
We will also highlight a character trait each month, such as kindness, honesty, or perseverance. Students who demonstrate these traits and serve as positive examples to others will be recognized.
Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application
Please take a few minutes to complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application for your family. Even if your child does not eat school meals regularly, completing the application is important because it helps our district determine eligibility for meal benefits and can provide additional support and resources for our schools.
Applications are confidential and should be completed as soon as possible. If you have already completed an application for this school year, no further action is needed.
If you have questions or need assistance completing the application, please contact the school office.

Annual Giving Drive
The holiday season is a wonderful time to come together as a community and help our neighbors in need. We are excited to kick off our Annual Giving Drive on Monday, October 19th, combining our Thanksgiving and Holiday Food Drives to support more than 100 families right here in the Florence Township School District.
Donating is easy! Simply send your designated food item to school with your child. Donate one item or several — every contribution makes a difference!
Donation Deadlines:
Thanksgiving Drive: Thursday, November 19
Holiday Drive: Wednesday, December 9
We are especially in need of donated turkeys for our Thanksgiving baskets. We also gratefully accept monetary donations and gift cards to help us purchase turkeys, fresh foods, and any additional items needed to complete each family's holiday package. See the attached flyer for more details!
Together, we can make the holidays a little brighter for our Florence families!
