I have met a lot of famous people because my kids played hockey, I met Ryan Renolds in the boston common walking his dog, this was back in the time he was a part of Two Guys, a Girl, and A Pizza Place (tv show), he was super nice.

Whats your favorite book?

Thank you to Gavin Vanderveldt who helped clean up in the cafeteria after breakfast! Emily Brown got a kind shout out: "Emily is always there for me and has been so nice to me! She includes me, she is kind, she is generous; I’m so grateful to have her! And I think we all should be!" Arabella Schinkowitch also got a kindness shout: "Arabella is always there for anyone! She has been through rough times but she pushes through and she always pushes through the pain and when she hurts her ankle a lot! She is a brave kind girl and she is the best and I’m so glad to have her as my friend! Colin Glynn also got a thank you from a staff member who noticed him helping out around school: "They helped pick up gum wrappers around the school and helped classmates with work they were having a hard time with"

How Spring Got Its Name 🌸 🌱 🐣

  • 🌱 The spring season gets its name from the verb "spring." It's a nod to the flowers and plants springing up, springing open, and bursting into blossom.
  • 🐣 The word itself comes from the Old English word "springan," which means "to leap, burst forth, fly up; spread, grow."
  • 🌸 During the 14th century, the word came to describe the spring season, the time when plants wake from their winter sleep and bloom.
  • 🌅 Before that, the word "Lent" was used to describe the season: "In the past it was the main word for ‘spring.' Lent surfaced as ‘lencten,' that is, ‘lengten': the season got its name because in spring days lengthen." (full article here)
