April 27 - May 1
Hello Mustang Families!
We began last week with a chalk art contest to celebrate Earth Day. Students created chalk murals with important messages about environmental responsibility, conservation, and protecting our planet. The campus walkways were transformed into a colorful display of creativity and purpose, with each piece reflecting thoughtful ideas and student voice. It was a fun way to start off the week reinforcing the importance of caring for the world and people around us.
State testing is off to a strong start. Students approached the math assessments with focus and effort, taking their time and doing their best. This week, we continue with the English language arts portion. Please help by ensuring Chromebooks are fully charged each night so students are ready each morning. Any student who missed a day or needs additional time for the math assessment will have an opportunity to make it up or finish later in the week.
Also this week at Breeze Hill Elementary on Thursday, 4/30 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm is another chance for students to complete the required bike safety course for those riding a skateboard, scooter, bike, or e-bike to school. Even if your student isn’t riding this year but plans to in the future, this is a great opportunity to take care of the requirement. Please see the flyer below for more details.
Lastly, this Thursday, 4/30 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, the RBV principal and staff will be in the Madison library to meet with future 9th grade Longhorns and share information about campus culture and life at the Ranch. I encourage all 8th grade students attending RBV next year to take advantage of this opportunity. See the flyer below for more details.
Thank you for reading, and have a great week!
