HF's Lacrosse Team took some time this week to help with a community clean up in Homewood, tidying up the East Metra Lot and downtown area. This marks the third year the team has dedicated a day to community service in the village. Special thanks to Coach Keane, Coach Thompson, and Coach Ridgway for encouraging the 21 student-athletes to serve their community.

2025-26 Cafeteria Price Adjustments 2025-26 Cafeteria Price Adjustments

zoom_out_map

As we prepare for the 2025–2026 school year, we want to inform you of upcoming adjustments to select cafeteria menu prices.

Over the past several years, the Homewood-Flossmoor High School Board of Education has made a deliberate effort to minimize the financial impact of food cost increases on students and families. Specifically:

  • The District fully absorbed meal price increases during the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 school years, effectively freezing meal costs for students and families.
  • In the 2024–2025 school year, the District shared the impact by covering 50% of the increased food service costs.
  • For the 2025–2026 school year, the District will implement the full price adjustment to reflect actual cost increases associated with food, labor, and service operations.

Modest price adjustments—averaging approximately 6%—are necessary to maintain the quality and service of our cafeteria offerings in response to rising costs for ingredients, packaging, and distribution. Learn more here.

New to HF Athletics: Girls' Flag Football! New to HF Athletics: Girls' Flag Football!

HF is excited to bring Girls' Flag Football to our athletic offerings beginning with the 2025-26 school year! Now's the chance to get familiar with the sport before the official season starts. No previous experience needed. There will be Open Field days starting from Monday, June 23rd to Wednesday, July 16th from 4pm to 6pm every Monday and Wednesday on the North Field located behind the North building.

Flag Football Summer Camp

The Flag Football summer camp is a great way to learn about the sport of flag football in a fun and supportive environment. We will teach the basic fundamentals of flag football and help athletes identify what positions they may want to try out for in the fall.

Athletes should bring water and molded or plastic cleats (no metal cleats) as this will help with traction on the north turf. Athletic shoes can be worn if the athlete does not have cleats. All campers should bring athletic shoes every day in case bad weather forces us into the fieldhouse.

Director: Walter Collins, wcollins@hf233.org

Location: North Field

Grades 9-12

Dates: July 21-31, M-Th, 10am-12pm

Fee: $100

If you've been around campus lately, you may have noticed we've updated our light pole banners with some fresh images. The previous ones have been removed and will be available for pickup (if you'd like) for any alum who were featured on a banner or had a student who was.

Please see this folder and email hfinfo@hf233.org with the subject line "Banner Pickup" and a brief description of which banner is yours. We'll confirm a time you can pick up. Note: These banners (like the one pictured here) have been up for about 5 years, so all are featuring students that likely graduated prior to 2020.
