FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Stallion Families,
I hope youโve had a chance to check out our daily video announcements! You can easily view them on our website by clicking the MORNING ANNOUNCEMENT block on the main page or navigating to OUR SCHOOL/MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS.
Our Halloween parade and classroom parties are tomorrow! As you help your child plan their costume, please keep our district dress code guidelines in mind. All costumes must be school-appropriate, with no masks, weapons, fake blood, or gore permitted. Additionally, students should wear school-appropriate clothing underneath their costume or bring a change of clothes for the remainder of the day.
As we enjoy these fall traditions, thank you for partnering with us to prioritize regular attendance. Missing just two days a month, whether excused or unexcused, adds up to 18 days, qualifying a student as chronically absent. Daily, on-time attendance helps students master core reading and math skills, stay connected with friends, and build confidence. Thank you for helping your child establish these positive habits early!
We have several important events coming up over the next couple of weeks. On Wednesday, November 4th, we will host a parent info night in the gym from 5:00 to 6:00 PM for our 5th-grade families regarding Outdoor Ed, I hope to see all of our 5th-grade families there. On Thursday, November 5th, Mr. Halley and our 6th graders will be performing in the gym from 6:00 to 7:00 PM; a separate message has already gone out to 6th-grade families with specific details. Please note that there is no school for students on Friday, November 6th, as this is a professional development day for teachers. Finally, PSP will meet in the library on Tuesday, November 10th from 3:45 to 4:45 and Stallion Family Voices (SAC) will meet in the library on Wednesday, November 11th, from 3:45 to 4:45 PM, both of these organizations provide wonderful opportunities to learn more about the ins and outs of Cherokee Trail.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership, support, and Stallion pride!
Warmly,
Jodee DeRose - Principal
