BRMS Athletics News And Updates
Hey Wolfpack!
Boys varsity basketball will have a game Wednesday, 11/4 at Riverview and a home game Thursday, 11/5 against High Plains. Playing order is 8,6,7. The game at Riverview is a 4:00pm start.
JV will have a game Friday, 11/6 against Erwin. Right now, all teams are at home starting at 4:30pm, but we may move one grade to Erwin. We will communicate that thru sportsYou if it changes. Cross country runners still need to bring clean jerseys in a bag with your name on it to Mrs. Custer this week to avoid a fine in Infinite Campus.

Online Payment Option: Campus Payments
Campus Payments is an online payment system for parents to use as an option to make fee payments by credit or debit card. Parents can pay student fees directly from their parent portal accounts. Parents can pay fees in the portal account by navigating to the fees tab and adding fees owed to their cart. Campus Payments currently accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
You can also pay in the BRMS main office with a credit card, cash or check.
If you have applied and been approved for free and reduced meals and still see a fee on your student's account, please email a copy of your approval letter to Tracy Ubrun at tracy.ubrun@tsd.org so we can clear your student's fees.
Focused on Learning. Connected When It Matters.
Thompson School District's Cell Phone and Personal Device Policy is designed to reduce distractions, improve student engagement, and support safe, productive learning environments.
This page explains the policy in plain language. For the complete legal policy, view Board Policy JICJ.
At Bill Reed Middle School, students will follow our policy of Away for the Day.
- Upon entering our school building each day, students will be required to put their phones away in either a backpack or locker. Students may not have cell phones or personal devices in their pockets.
- Devices must remain away and unseen the entire school day, including during lunch, passing periods, and lunch time.
- Students may resume access to their devices outside after dismissal.
Please see the TSD Website and Board Policy for more information.
Why This Policy
Staying Connected During the School Day
When a Student Does Not Follow the Policy
Positive Attendance Campaign
This year, we’re launching our Positive Attendance Campaign to encourage students to be present, engaged, and ready to learn every day. Research shows that regular attendance is one of the most important factors in academic success—when students miss school, they miss opportunities to grow, connect, and thrive.
Our goal is to celebrate and support good attendance while also helping families remove barriers that make “showing up” difficult. Here’s how we’ll be working together this year:
Celebrating consistency: Students with strong attendance will be recognized with fun incentives and shout-outs.
Family partnership: If challenges come up, our staff is here to problem-solve with you.
Building a culture of showing up: Together, we can create a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and excited to be here.
We know that mornings can be tough, illnesses happen, and family responsibilities can be overwhelming. But every day your child is in school makes a difference. Thank you for partnering with us to help your student—and our whole community—reach their potential.
How Sick is Too Sick?
Please refer to the document, "How sick is too sick", from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) when deciding if students or staff should stay home due to symptoms of illness. Reach out to our health office staff if you have questions.

2026-2027 Meal Application
LINQ Connect is where you'll find our 2026 - 2027 meal application as well as create an account to access your student's meal funds and account. As a reminder, school meals are free for all students regardless of income for the 2026 - 2027 school year! We encourage everyone to complete a meal application as it provides benefits to you and the district such as grants, program funding and fee waivers. If you don't want to create a LINQ Connect account and only want to complete a meal application, please click this link: Online Meal Applications.
Why should I fill out a meal Application?
The HSMA program is funded in partnership with federal nutrition programs that rely on that income information to support meals for ALL students. Other state and federal grants for school are awarded based on free and reduced meal eligibility rates - this could mean more money for our school! Plus, families who qualify may receive discounted or waived school fees, sports fees, utilities support and more.
Can my student still bring lunch from home?
YES! Students are welcome to bring home lunch. Additionally, a la carte items including milk and snacks (varies by site) will be available for purchase with available funds.
*All household income information is confidential and will not be shared without your consent*

Chromebook Insurance

Important Family Information
Attendance Line
The BRMS attendance line is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Report your child’s absence on the Parent Portal. Step-by-step instructions here. Or you can call the school attendance line to report the absence at 970-613-7290.
Picking Up Your Student
Please remember to bring your ID with you when you come to the school to pick up your student. Anyone signing a student out from school before the end of the school day will be asked to present an ID before the student will be released each and every time.
Please also be aware that the curbside in front of BRMS is the designated unloading and loading lanes for school buses. Please do not park in the bus lanes during designated hours as posted.
Drop Off And Pick Up Reminders
Please follow the parking signage and be mindful of traffic patterns in the front of our school building (4th St.) and on the west side of our building (Harrison Ave.) during drop off and pick up each day. Buses need ample space to pull in and park and must be able to access these locations each day for the safety of our students. Please help remind your students to utilize our crosswalk on the corner of Harrison & 4th St. when crossing the street. Thank you for playing your part to ensure safety each morning and afternoon.
What time can my student be on campus?
Classes are from 8:50am to 4:05pm on M-T-Th-F. The cafeteria opens at 8:30am and the front door at the main entrance will open at 8:40am. Students cannot be on campus before 8:30am and must leave campus when they are released at the end of the day. Classes begin promptly at 8:50am. Students arriving after 8:50am will be considered tardy.
Wednesday, classes are from 9:50am to 4:05pm. The cafeteria opens at 9:30am and the front door at the main entrance will open at 9:40am. Students cannot be on campus before 9:30am and again must leave campus when they are released at the end of the day.
TSD Inclement Weather Procedure
