Mr. Mann has also been impactful, I love his teaching style.

STMA High School Security Team
STMA High School values safety and security and we are fortunate to work with an excellent security team that values student relationships. Ms. Rachel Johnson and Mr. Devante Wright are central to our success we wanted to provide an opportunity for our community families to get to know them. Please find information about our security team included below.
My name is Devante Wright. I was born in Kansas City but was raised in Orlando, Florida until I was 6 years old. I was a three sport athlete in high school ( Football, Track, and Wrestling). I then attended Junior College Antelope Valley College in California. After my first season I received a scholarship to Kentucky State University. I played two years for KSU were I was team captain in 2019 and led the defense in TFL's. I graduated with a business administration degree. I am currently enrolled working towards my Masters. Currently, I am coaching football and wrestling here at STMA High School. My goal is to build these young men into great men, on and off the fields and mats.
There is plenty to love about my role here at STMA but one of the main things I enjoy is just connecting with kids. Going into work I like to build relationships with the students in the school because you just never know what someone may be going through and a simple conversation could make their day. If I can tell a student something that I didn't know when I was their age, I feel like somehow it can benefit them in the long run. Everyday I'm looking to build a stronger connection with the students so I can understand where each student is coming from and I'm hoping I can just help them with anything they need.
My name is Rachel Johnson and I was born and raised here in St. Michael. During my time here at St.
Michael, I played Volleyball, Basketball and Track. I was part of the 1999 State Championship Track
team and the 2001 State Championship Basketball team. I graduated from STMA in 2001. After high
school I continued my academic and volleyball career at the University of South Florida. I currently live in St. Michael with my husband Michael and our 4 kids. Ari (11), Leo (10), Vinny (8) and Veda (6) keep us busy running to lots of sporting events. My daughter Ari plays Softball here at St. Michael and Volleyball at MN Select in Maple Grove. My sons Leo and Vinny play Hockey, Lacrosse and Football. My Daughter Veda plays Hockey, Soccer and Softball.
This is my second year working at the high school as a Response Para. I enjoy working at the high school because I like interacting with the students and making positive impacts on their lives. I also started coaching Volleyball this year and I have been fortunate enough to work with all levels of our high school program. I enjoy going to practice everyday to help the girls become better athletes and make positive connections with them.
If your family is interested in enrolling in this program please click above to register.
PROCEDURE FOR EXCUSING AN ABSENCE
If a student is absent from school, parents are requested to call the absence in prior to 8:30 a.m. (763-497-2192) and follow instructions on voicemail. If an absence is not reported by phone, students are required to return to school with a note. This procedure is necessary to keep school attendance records timely and accurate. Absences not verified within three school days will be recorded as unexcused. Students who have been absent from school will not be admitted to class without a “pink admit slip.”
Students at school who are not feeling well, must go to the nurse’s office prior to calling a parent to be released. The nurse will confirm the illness and communicate with the parent. Falsified notes and phone calls: If a student falsifies a note or a phone call to excuse an absence, they may receive a 1-3 day suspension.
