Do you have more to give, do you need for support?
At Washington our school community takes care of each other. When there is a need everyone is quick to recognize the need and are willing to step up if they can. During the winter break many families celebrate a holiday in which gifts are given. It is also a time where warm clothes are imperative. This information is two fold. First, if you have not connected with any other community resource (New Life, Potter's house, Angel Tree, Cross Church, Genesis Church etc), and you still need some support we may be able to help. I work with the other resources in our area to make sure we are not doubling up our efforts. Secondly, you might have more to give. If you do, our guidelines include: pajamas, warm blanket or stuffy, new outfit and shoes and two or three toys. This helps ensures that families with multiple children get the same amount of items. You can also give a monetary amount and I can do the shopping for you :) This is quite an endeavor for the season so the earlier I get your response (whether or need support or you have more to give) the better.
