The Best Position
Team,
I hope you all had a restful and restorative weekend. As we enter the final stretch of the school year, it’s hard to believe we now have just four weeks remaining. Last week marked the completion of OST testing for our students in grades 3–5—an important milestone for both our students and our school community. While we won’t receive official results until later this month, this moment gives us an opportunity to begin reflecting on the progress our students have made and how we can continue to support their growth. For our K–2 students, and select third graders, we now shift our focus to Acadience and MAP assessments, which provide valuable insight into student learning and help guide our next steps.
This is a critical time to continue building strong routines, reinforcing key skills, and fostering meaningful engagement in our classrooms. The work we do in these remaining weeks, both academic and relational, will set the tone for how students close the year and how they re-enter in the fall.
Our theme this year, “Restoring Noble Pride…”has taken on a deeper meaning. Even through change, uncertainty, and challenge, we have kept our focus where it belongs: on our students. That shared commitment is what defines us as a team and continues to make Noble such a special place. We still have time together, and I am committed to finishing strong alongside you.
Mr. Walker, M.Ed.
Principal
From the Assistant Principal's Desk
Hi Team,
We’re excited to celebrate you during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week this week! TBTs will be optional, as we recognize that the gift of time is one of the most meaningful ways we can show our appreciation. Last week’s Highlight Reel captured the heart of our school, from classroom celebrations and library visits to staff supporting students and one another in powerful ways. We’re also proud to share that our PBIS team is applying for Red Ribbon recognition and that our students continue to show growth through positive behavior and engagement.
As we head into these final weeks, attendance and consistency remain critical, and we are so close to reaching our goals, thank you for your continued efforts with caring calls and daily routines. Congratulations as well to Mr. Walker for being named an Admin of the Year finalist, well deserved!
Thank you for everything you do each day for our students and school community, enjoy the time and appreciation this week!
Ms. Barrett

Election Day Plans For Polling Site Schools
Tuesday, May 5 is Primary Election Day, and the following five CH-UH buildings will serve as polling locations for the local community:
Canterbury Elementary School
Delisle Options Center
Fairfax Elementary School
Gearity Professional Development School
Wiley Building
Because school is in session that day, each school has a plan to ensure the safety of students and staff as they welcome voters into their buildings. These plans have been developed in partnership with District operations and security leadership, and have been shared with the families and staff at the 5 buildings. Here are some important things to know and expect on May 5 at each of the 5 buildings:
The school building will be used by election officials from 5 a.m. until vote counting is complete that evening. The polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Voters will enter through a designated door, walk directly to the voting area, and exit through a designated door right after they are done voting.
School security monitors will be present during voting hours (6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) in addition to regular school hours. Security monitors will be responsible for ensuring that voters remain on the voting path.
Daily activities such as parking, student dropoff, student pickup, and after school activities will proceed as usual.
The voting equipment will be set up the evening of May 4 (after school hours), but will not impact after school activities.
The District looks forward to our schools being an important part of Election Day. You can find your own voting location here.
May Drills
Please be advised of the following scheduled safety drills:
- May Fire Drill – Monday, May 11 at 2:45 p.m.
- May Tornado Drill – Monday, May 18 at 9:45 a.m.
These drills are an important part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring staff and student preparedness. Thank you for your cooperation and attention to these scheduled times.
