Introducing Salad Bars at Albert D Lawton and Essex Middle School!

We are thrilled to announce a delicious and healthy update to our school dining experience! Starting November 3rd, our veggie bars will be transformed into salad bars, offering a wider variety of fresh, nutritious options for everyone in grades 6-8.

Why the change? We want to encourage students to access fresh fruits and vegetables as part of their meals each day. Our salad bars will feature a variety of fresh greens and colorful vegetables, allowing each student to create their own unique salad masterpiece. This change will make lunchtime even more enjoyable and encourage everyone to try new things. We can’t wait to see all the creative salads you come up with!

Happy salad making!

SUPPORT VERMONT EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES

Vermont has successfully implemented Universal School Meals since 2022. This program enables schools to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students, regardless of household income. However, even though meals are now free to all students, our schools still need to gather household income data.
This data helps Vermont access the maximum possible federal dollars for school meals, reducing the burden on Vermont taxpayers. Please complete the Household Income Form for your household.

This form is designed to only take a few minutes to fill out.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please email swarrington@ewsd.org or call the District Office at 802-868-8168.

They will explain how the special education process works in EWSD and go over basics, including parental rights and procedural safeguards. Dinner will be provided to all participants.
