  • Principal's Chat and Chew: Please join me on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Media Center. This is a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, and learn more about what's happening at McNair Middle School.

Grading Information

The grading window opens on September 1, 2026. Parents, please encourage your students to complete all assignments, stay organized, and put forth their best effort each day. Starting the school year strong can make a tremendous difference in student achievement.

Grades will be available for parents to view in Infinite Campus beginning September 10, 2026.

School Safety Reminders

To ensure the safety and security of all students and staff:

  • Only clear or mesh book bags are permitted on campus.
  • All book bags must remain in student lockers during the school day.
  • Cell phones must remain secured according to the district's cell phone policy.

Cell Phone Policy Reminder

Please be mindful of our cell phone expectations. Phones that are confiscated may be retrieved from Dr. Cameron Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.

Please note that phones cannot be retrieved after 4:45 p.m.

Bullying Prevention and Student Conduct

At McNair Middle School, student safety is our top priority.

Let me be very clear: I am not, will not, and do not condone or tolerate bullying, harassment, intimidation, or teasing of any kind.

Bullying is a Tier IV offense and will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include alternative school placement. Any reports of bullying will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly.

Parents, please take time to review the Student Code of Conduct with your child and discuss the importance of treating others with kindness and respect. Students should understand that their choices have consequences and that every member of our school community deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported.

Together, we can ensure that McNair Middle School remains a place where students can learn, grow, and succeed. Thank you for your continued support of McNair Middle School. I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming Principal's Chat and Chew.

Rooted in Excellence, because Excellence is the Standard!

Parents/Guardians,

Please take a few moments to review the Student/Parent/Guardian Device Handbook with your child. The handbook outlines important expectations for the care, use, and responsibility of school-issued devices.

We also encourage families to consider purchasing device insurance. Device insurance can help reduce the financial burden associated with accidental damage, loss, or repair of student devices throughout the school year.

Ronald E. McNair Middle School's Personal Electronic Devices (PED) Policy

This school year, Ronald E. McNair Middle School is fully implementing the Fulton County Schools Personal Electronic Devices (PED) Policy. Under this policy, all personal electronic devices (PEDs), including but not limited to cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and similar devices, must be powered off and stored in students' individually assigned lockers from 8:55 a.m. to 4:05 p.m.

This bell-to-bell PED policy is designed to support a focused learning environment, promote student well-being, and enhance school safety. Limited exceptions are available for students with documented IEP or Section 504 accommodations, verified medical needs, or approved instructional use.

Students who are found in violation of the PED policy will have their devices confiscated and submitted to Principal Cameron for safekeeping. Parents or guardians may retrieve confiscated devices between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Additionally, progressive disciplinary measures will be implemented, including mandatory parent conferences and increased

consequences for repeated violations.

We encourage all families to review the attached flyer for detailed information regarding policy expectations, approved exceptions, and disciplinary procedures. Thank you for your partnership in supporting a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
