Did You Know?
The school recently committed to improving the area on the southwest corner of the track and football field complex. The area previously had some flowers and vegetation that proved hard to manage, and the area pooled water with every rainstorm. Glosson Construction improved this area with concrete and a retaining wall and cap. The area now drains water adequately and provides an excellent area for spectators during games, meets, barbeques, and outdoor classroom activities.
Class of the Week- Mrs. Weis' 3rd Grade
Preschool
This week our Preschool class and their teachers, Mrs. Blake and Mrs. Sage, met with various staff members around the school to introduce the students to the jobs that they do. On Monday, Mrs. Walker from the kitchen came to the classroom and did a demonstration on how to cut apples and left them for the students to have for snack.
Tuesday, Mrs. Pickens in the office, explained her roll taking attendance, checking students in and out and showing them where to go if they are feeling sick or get hurt. The students were introduced to Mr. Randel and Mrs. Smith answered any questions they had about her job as principal. Mrs. Woods then showed the students around the HS office.
On Wednesday, Mr. Adolf, the custodian, stopped by the classroom to teach the students about his job and how he works to keep "bugs" (germs) out of our school.
Their last visitor was Mr. Christensen, who came to the classroom to read them "A Book with No Pictures. The students loved the silly story and filled the hallway with giggles!
