South Callaway District Newsletter

Greetings from South Callaway R-II! While we aren't quite ready to welcome everyone back just yet, we know how quickly calendars fill up this time of year and wanted to ensure you've got some important dates on your calendar. Whenever you are ready to start planning for back to school, you should find all of the information needed below. Preschool Screenings

Where: SC EC Building

Bulldog Power Up (students entering grades 3-5)

Where: Drop-off & pick-up is at the Elementary Playground

Due to construction, camp will take place in HS classrooms

When: July 27-July 30 from 9:00am - 12:00pm

Middle School Readiness Camp (students entering grades 6)

Where: Drop-off is at the HIGH SCHOOL front doors
When: July 27-July 29 from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Please note that the HS office will be closed. Contact Mrs. Hecktor at danielle.hecktor@sc.k12.mo.us regarding any late drop offs or early pickups.

Device Distribution (only for students entering grades 6-12)

Where: HS Gym/Commons
When: August 10 - 12:00pm - 7:00pm & August 11 - 11:00am - 6:00pm
iPad Protection Plan Fee:

EC/ES Students: $20 to join; $20 to renew
MS/HS Students: $40 to join; $20 to renew
Families with multiple students have a cap of $60

Forego this fee entirely simply by filling out a Free & Reduced Meal Application!

Back to School Bulldog Bash & Resource Fair

Where: New EC Gymnasium

Important Dates

Final Dead Week: August 1 - August 8
First day of fall High School practices August 10th (Cheerleading, Softball, Girls Golf, Football, XC)
First day of fall Middle School practices August 17th (Cheerleading, Softball, Football, XC)
All Athletes and Marching Band members must have a physical before the first day of practice. Please contact the District Athletic Director if you are unsure of your child's physical status. tony.brandt@sc.k12.mo.us
Open House: Monday, August 24 (5pm-7pm)
First Day of School: Wednesday, August 26
