The Jamesburg PTA has hit the ground running for the 2026-2027 school year!

As always, our first event of the year is one of the most uplifting. The evening before the first day of school, many families came out to "Chalk the Walk". Thank you to all the artists who decorated the sidewalks and walkways with beautiful pictures and cheerful messages! On September 18, we shared "Popsicles on the Playground". This event is always a blast and we were so happy to see so many familiar faces and also meet some new ones! We hope these events started your school year off with a smile.

You asked, we delivered! The Jamesburg PTA is excited to have Class Parents for the very first time!

Last year, 46 parents volunteered over 700 hours of their time to pull off our annual in-school and after-school events. But we want to do so much more! Some ideas we have are:

• Talent Show
• Spelling Bee
• Grade celebrations for holidays
• Color Run
• Read-A-Thon

We are always looking for more ideas. But we need help. To pull these events off, we need more volunteers and better communication. And that is where Class Parents come in! Visit https://www.jamesburgpta.com/class-parents for more info.

Join us for our first meeting of the new school year on September 29, at JFK. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the meeting will start at 7pm. Bring the kids! While the parents chat, middle school students will be showing the younger kids how to make paper flowers - recycling old books into this year's decorations.

PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, an ALL VOLUNTEER organization with a mission to make every child's potential a reality. We are a team of parents, teachers, and community members working together to enrich our students’ school experience. We organize events, fundraisers, and programs that support learning and fun.

Our membership fees only cover the cost of operating, which means every dollar raised through fundraising goes directly back to the children. By joining or volunteering with the PTA, you’re helping create memorable experiences, strengthen our school community, and ensure that every student benefits from the opportunities we provide.

We are looking for volunteers for the events listed below. Members can use SIgnUpGenius to schedule volunteering shifts. Volunteers must be members of the Jamesburg PTA. You can volunteer for just an hour or for the whole event.

• October 13-16: Scholastic Fall Book Fair at JFK
• October 30: Fright Night Dance - 6:30pm at GMB

• September 29: PTA Meeting & Decoration Making (6:30pm-8pm at JFK)

• October 27: Trunk or Treat (7pm at JFK for JFK students and their families)
