Important Updates About the HVAC Project at Rowayton
As we enter the final phase of our HVAC project, I would like to share a few important updates regarding upcoming changes to our building and outdoor campus.
Starting in April, the walkway from the driveway to the front entrance will be closed. During this time, families and visitors may walk along the lawn as an alternative path to access the building. The main entrance will remain open. If you are visiting the school for any reason, we are also offering temporary use of Door #3 by ringing the bell.
The project will also include the removal of some trees on campus. We understand the importance of our outdoor spaces, and we are grateful to share that Newfield Construction has generously committed to replacing the trees and will also be gifting six additional cherry trees once the project is complete.
There will also be visible changes inside the building. During spring break, ceiling tiles will be removed from the hallways and will not be replaced until the work is finished. While this may impact the appearance of some spaces, it is a necessary step in completing the project efficiently.
Please be assured that Newfield Construction has been working closely with the city, district, and school leadership to prioritize safety at all times. All construction work is scheduled to take place before and after school hours to minimize disruption to the school day.
This work brings us closer to completion, which is anticipated for the start of the 2026–2027 school year. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and continued support as we get closer to these exciting improvements to our school.
Register for Kindergarten Now to Attend Open House May 12
Do you know an incoming Kindergartener for the 2026-2027 school year? Please encourage families to begin registration early. Only registered families will receive information and be invited the Kindergarten Open House in May. Visit the Norwalk Public Schools website to start or call the Main Office for help.

With Spring Break around the corner, don't forget about one of the community's best-kept secrets - all that Rowayton Library has to offer. Beyond books, storytimes, and craft programs, Rowayton Library offers museum passes available for families to borrow, which provide free or discounted access to several local and NYC museums and attractions. It's a wonderful way to keep the kids engaged over the break! Stop by the library or visit the website to learn more.
