A Note from Mr. Hamilton, Principal

Greetings,

The school year sure is fast moving! We’ve had a busy stretch these past few weeks, with so many good things happening every day. It is such a joy watching your kiddos grow and stride out as learners. I am hopeful you enjoyed your recent parent/teacher conference(s). If they're scheduled for the week ahead, we look forward to highlighting your child’s ongoing success. Again, we are better together!

As the holiday season approaches, we know this is a busy and sometimes stressful stretch. Please use this newsletter as an opportunity to remain informed, plan ahead, and get connected. We hope to see you at the Central Skate party coming up on Monday!

From a CKH perspective, this month we're working on Teamwork and before we know it we'll be pivoting into the theme of Responsibility. Also, very soon, Music will come to a close and give way to our Art rotation. We are excited about the upcoming holiday concerts our DK/K and 1st-4th students will participate in. With nearly a third of the year now in our rear-view, I want to thank you for raising such amazing kids, and sharing them with us!

As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns.

Cordially,

Cody

Student Cell Phones and other Texting Devices at School Need to Remain in the Backpack in the Locker

Cell phones and/or texting devices can be disruptive to the educational environment. Students are not permitted to carry them during the school day - this includes during recess and lunch. When possible, parents should communicate through school staff. If these items are brought to school and are seen, they will be taken away. Items will be held by the principal until a parent or guardian comes to school to pick them up. Apple watches are discouraged, but if worn, should only be used as a watch. If seen talking on or texting with an Apple watch, the watch will remain in the office until a parent or guardian comes to school to pick it up. Thank you for your observance of this policy.
