Dear VNMS Families,

We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing efforts in ensuring that our students are in uniform, have their Chromebooks fully charged, and arrive at school by 7:55 a.m. Your dedication plays a crucial role in setting your child up for success each day.

Last Friday, we had a fantastic lunchtime filled with activities like giant Jenga, Uno, cornhole, and musical chairs. The music added to the fun, and our students had an amazing time. A big thank you to Ms. Maynes, Ms. Sandoval, and our Leadership team for putting together such a wonderful event!

Looking ahead, we invite you to join us for Back to School Night this Thursday, August 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. During this event, you'll receive a quick introduction to your child's class content and expectations. Please remember that this is a short week with no school on Friday, August 30, due to Admissions Day, and on Monday, September 2, for Labor Day.

If you're interested in getting more involved with our school community, we encourage you to join us on Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. via Zoom for the Local School Leadership Council meeting. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in decisions about the calendar, events, and other important matters. Additionally, right before our Back to School event, Ms. Valdovinos and Ms. Minor will be presenting the Annual Title 1 and Master Plan Options in the auditorium from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. We hope you can join us for these important presentations.

Thank you once again for your continued support and involvement. We look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events!

Best regards,
Cristina Serrano
