Mrs. Skinner’s STRIPES class recently completed an outstanding service learning project, raising an incredible $972 for Dimes for Diapers. The 6th grade class led the way with the highest total raised, earning a special Field Day on May 15. This week, Mrs. Skinner's class was presented with a trophy for being the top middle school fundraiser and placing in the Top 10 among all Genesee County schools. Thank you to Mrs. Skinner’s STRIPES class and all of our students for supporting this meaningful cause. Way to Show Your STRIPES!

A Note from Darla 🐾 A Note from Darla 🐾

Hi Friends!

As the school year comes to an end, I wanted to send a big tail wagging THANK YOU to all of the amazing students who made me feel so loved this year!

You did such a great job listening and respecting my training when I wasn't able to stop for pets. That wasn't always easy, but you showed so much patience, kindness, and self-control. I also loved how gentle and caring you were whenever we spent time together. You helped make my first year at school so special!

I'm going to miss seeing all of your smiling faces this summer, but don't worry—I’ll be busy having adventures, taking naps, and continuing to practice my therapy dog skills. Before you know it, I'll be back at school in August, ready for more visits, cuddles, and tail wags!

If you'd like to keep up with my summer adventures, ask your grown-ups to follow me on Instagram: @Deardarla_11. Have a fun, safe, and pawsome summer!

Love,

Darla
