Hello everyone. We had a very productive Fall Meeting this past Saturday and wish you all could have been there. Here are the 9.7.2024 SCMEA Fall Business Meeting Minutes. They are attached below as well.
Now is the time to start picking repertoire and considering whether you will have any students perform at our 2024 Fall Piano Festival. Registration is open now until October 19th. Prices are the same: $20 for two solo selections, or one solo and one duet.
In our goal to be more transparent and to communicate better, you may have noticed that we created a standard Festival Rubric two years ago. In that same vein of wanting to continue to improve our event, we took the time to write some Standing Rules of informal/formal things we have done at Piano Festival (for Decades?), in case there are questions or new teachers in our state, and to mirror that of our sister-organizations as well (SCMEA Choir, Band, Orchestra, etc.) These standing rules are attached below the minutes.
I have also attached our 2024-25 Calendar of Events to the end of this Newsletter for your convenience.
