Your Presence Matters! Be Here!
Every Mustang, Every Day Even During the Upcoming Holiday Season
As we approach the upcoming holiday months, we recognize that this is a special time of year filled with family gatherings, celebrations, travel, and opportunities to make lasting memories. While we understand the importance of these traditions and the excitement that comes with the holiday season, we also want to emphasize the importance of regular, on-time school attendance.
Every school day makes a difference in your child's education. When students are present and arrive on time, they have the opportunity to engage in meaningful instruction, participate in classroom discussions, collaborate with their peers, and build upon the skills and knowledge necessary for continued academic success. Even a single missed day can mean missing important lessons, assignments, and learning experiences that may be difficult to make up.
Consistent attendance also helps students develop important life skills, including responsibility, organization, time management, and perseverance. Establishing these habits now supports their growth not only as students but also as confident, independent learners.
We encourage families to plan holiday celebrations, appointments, and travel around the school calendar whenever possible. By prioritizing attendance, you send a powerful message to your child that education matters and that every opportunity to learn is valuable.
At Carusi, we believe that every student, every day, matters. Our partnership with families is essential to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Thank you for helping us maintain strong attendance habits and for reinforcing the importance of being present, prepared, and on time each day.
We wish all of our Carusi families a joyful holiday season filled with happiness, health, and meaningful time together. Thank you for your continued support of our students and the Carusi community!

Red Ribbon Week
Our students and staff did an amazing job participating in our themed team days and showing their school spirit throughout the week. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to support this important initiative and promote healthy, positive choices. A special thank you to our Peer Leaders for their creativity, hard work, and planning in making the week such a success. Great job, Mustangs!
Fall Intramurals Wrap Up
Over 100 students participated in intramurals at Carusi this fall. The volleyball group, which number over 50 students, was under the direction of Ms. Grenier, Ms. Owens, Miss Ramos and Mr. Kain. They also had the assistance of trainers from the Cherry Hill Volleyball Club. Mr. Corona's tennis group, which numbered in the 20's, enjoyed the beautiful fall weather as they worked on their backhands, forehands and volleys. The tennis group benefited from a donation of racquets and balls from the USTA. The basketball intramural was supervised by Mrs. Karcher and Ms. Ramos and over 30 students worked on their dribbling, passing and shooting twice a week in the Carusi gymnasium. Intramurals will resume in the spring.

Morning Car Drop Off Reminders
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we welcome students each morning, we experience a high volume of car drop-offs. To help ensure that the morning car line moves efficiently and safely, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following reminders and procedures.
Recommended Drop-Off Time
We strongly encourage families to begin dropping students off at 7:30 a.m. At this time, there is typically little to no line, allowing for a smoother and quicker drop-off experience for everyone.
Preparing Students for a Smooth Drop-Off
To help keep the line moving:
Students should be seated in the back seat on the driver’s side.
All belongings—book bag, lunch bag, and any musical instruments—should be ready and in hand.
Once the car reaches the side of the building and staff is directing students, we ask that students exit the vehicle promptly.
We understand that many parents prefer to hold onto their child until reaching the gym entrance; however, waiting to do so significantly slows down the line. Our goal is to get as many students out of their cars and safely into the building as efficiently as possible.
Important Safety Reminder
Please note that Surrey Road is NOT an approved drop-off location.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work together to make mornings run smoothly.
Car Rider Dismissal
Guardians will enter off Roosevelt, proceed to the right, and move into the staff parking lot loop up to the gym lobby doors to await student dismissal. Staff members will be present to assist. Please drive slowly through our lot as students will be crossing.
