A Letter From Our Superintendent
As the school year winds down and spring settles in, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments of our students, staff, and families. May is a month full of activity and celebration here at Kimball School District, and I am proud of the energy and dedication that have carried us throughout the school year.
One of the most significant milestones we celebrate each year is high school graduation. It is with great pride that we recognize the five graduates from Grass Ranch High School, who will receive their diplomas on Wednesday, May 7th at 2:30 PM, and the 22 graduates from Kimball High School, who will walk across the stage on Saturday, May 10th at 2:00 PM.
Graduation is more than just a ceremony; it symbolizes all the hard work each student has put into the past 13 years. It marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. To our graduates: your hard work and determination have left a lasting impression on the Kimball School and community. Whether your next steps lead you to college, the workforce, or the military, we are confident you will be successful. On behalf of the entire district, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
As we celebrate our students, we must also take time to recognize the incredible educators who help guide them every step of the way. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5–9, and I want to personally thank each and every teacher in our district for their tireless efforts, commitment, and deep care for our students. The role you play in shaping young minds and building futures cannot be overstated. Your impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and we are grateful for everything you do.
This spring also brings some bittersweet farewells, as we honor the retirements of Dale Taylor, Kelly McGregor, Diana McGregor, and Patti Konechne. Together, these individuals have given decades of dedicated service to the students and families of our district. Their commitment, care, and contributions have left a lasting impression in our classrooms and hallways. We are grateful for all they’ve done and wish them a retirement filled with joy, relaxation, and well-deserved time with friends and family.
Looking ahead, here are several important dates to keep in mind:
· May 5–9 – Teacher Appreciation Week
· May 7 – Grass Ranch High School Graduation at 2:30 PM
· May 10 – Kimball High School Graduation at 2:00 PM
· May 12–13 – Semester Testing for All Students
· May 14 – Last Day of School
· May 16 – Lezlie Blasius Track Meet
The Lezlie Blasius Track Meet on May 16th is always a highlight and a wonderful way to wrap up the school year. We encourage everyone to come out and support our student-athletes.
To our students and families: thank you for your support, your partnership, and your commitment to learning. To our teachers and staff: your dedication makes everything we do possible.
Have a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer.
