Legacy Spotlight
Legacy Theatre Newsletter - February 2022
One month down! One show done!
January has come and gone, but there are still a few very busy months left for Legacy Theatre! Take a look below and wee what we have in store for the rest of the year!
Shrek the Musical
Thank you to all of the folks who made their way to the MISD Center for Performing Arts two weeks ago to see Shrek the Muscial! After losing a couple of rehearsals to the district shut down we weren't sure how we would get it all done! But, with some good old fashioned hard work and collaboration between Mr. Ferman, Ms. Fortune, Ms. Lafferty and Mr. Monasmith (and maybe from our cast, crew and orchestra) we pulled off a show that we can be proud of in the end! The audience reaction was amazing and people are still talking about it!

Why do you love theatre? - Theater has been a part of my life for a while, my brother was in theater, my dad has been in theater, my family is very Arts influenced, so of course, but that's not the reason I like it. Theater is a comfort, a place to forget everything that happens outside of acting outside of the play, a place to forget your emotions as well as let them out through acting.
What is a favorite experience you can tell us about your involvement with Legacy Theatre?
I know it might sound silly but it's very like family like. You work as a group as a unit. You succeed because as Legacy Theatre you are technically all representing the theatre. I know most of these people and will most likely grow up with them, the closeness is definitely something that's enjoyable. It's honestly the environment Legacy has, I have a lot of friends now :).
