A Note From Principal Hauser
I hope everyone had a great weekend! It’s hard to believe we just finished week three! Be sure to check out our new digital sign at the front of the school. Thank you to PTA for helping us make that purchase in the spring!
School Improvement Team Election
We have three parent seats opening up for the 2026-2027 school year. The SIT is the governing body of the school and positions are elected. The team meets once a month (second Monday) in the evening from 5:30-6:30 pm. A big thank you to the parents who volunteered to serve in this capacity and expressed interest in serving on the SIT Team. We have five candidates and three available seats.
Please take a moment and vote for the three individuals you’d like to serve as parent representatives on the School Improvement Team. The ballot will remain open until 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 9th. Our first SIT meeting will be on Monday, August 10th at 5:30 pm in the Art room. I will notify all SIT candidates on Sunday evening via text or email of the results.

Teacher Workday on Wednesday, August 19th
Please be reminded that Wednesday, August 19th is a teacher workday and there will be no school for students.
Parent Orientation/Curriculum Nights
This is where you will meet with the grade level teachers and learn all about this year's grade level content, field trips, classroom procedures and more!

Battle of the Books Information Session:
Mrs. Hartley will be holding an information session for parents for any students interested in participating in our Battle of the Books program. Please meet on Thursday, August 13 at 6:00-6:30 in the Media Center.
Talking Points
This year the district is using Talking Points as the two way communication tool between families and staff. Please see the documents below to get a better understanding of how to make the most of this communication tool. You do not need to download the app to receive messages. The messages will automatically be texted to your phone; however, the app appears to be user friendly and beneficial.

Grandfriends - August 31 – September 4
Our Fall Book Fair and Grandfriends events will be here before you know it! This is an opportunity for students to introduce their teacher and classmates to their Grandfriends, enjoy some breakfast, and shop the book fair. Remember, their visitor does not have to be a literal grandparent; older relatives and family friends are considered Grandfriends. Please see below for the dates and times for each grade level. We look forward to having all our Grandfriend visitors!
