Good afternoon GMSS families,
I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather -- let's hope it sticks!!
SKATE PARTY- PTO will sponsor a Skate Party next Tuesday, March 18th from 5:00-8:30 at Skate Zone 71!
We had our final community meetings with students to kick off the last quarter. We celebrated growth and reminded students of some behaviors that continue to be a work in progress. A note for families is that discipline in the last quarter can eliminate students from being invited to the last day of fun- Field day for 6th & 7th grade and the pool for 8th grade. We need to be able to trust students to be safe in these arenas. We are certainly proud of our students growing, but will continue to focus on the respect needed and disruptions to learning for all. As always, we appreciate you!
A small reminder as the weather is warming up! Our schools do not allow for door dash deliveries - so please note this in your planning!
Reminder:- We have our Move UP day coming Thursday, April 24th:
8th grade students will shadow careers in take your child to work! ELA teachers have all information needed, but 8th grade students will not be in the building on this day
6th & 7th grade students will spend at least a half day in 7th & 8th grade classrooms being introduced to their life at the next grade level!
Incoming 5th grade students will be in the building for the am to be introduced to GMSS and have questions answered!
