Mac El Weekly News
Week of April 4, 2025
From the Principal
It's great to have everyone back after break! April is here and our last marking period started. Time is moving fast! There are field trips, state testing, and end of year benchmarks and assessments. They still have some unfinished learning. Please encourage them to continue their great Braves behavior!
Students in 3rd - 5th grade will be taking ILEARN this month, please see the schedule below. Please make sure students are at school on time and get a good sleep the nights before testing. We want them to be ready to perform their best! Thank you for all you do to support them at home!
ILEARN encouragement from Boomer!
With ILEARN testing coming soon, Mac El students got a surprise visit from the Pacer's mascot, Boomer! The excitement increased as he interacted with all the students and demonstrated jaw-dropping moves, all while encouraging students to "Do My Best on ILEARN Test!"

π Braves of the Week
2nd Grade: Sawyer Clemans
Sawyer has been working hard on improving her reading skills this year, and she ROCKED the IREAD test. Sawyer is a good friend who loves to have fun. Way to go, Sawyer!
3rd Grade: Adelyn Breitweiser
Adelyn is a great example of what it means to be Brave! She is hardworking and eager to participate in class. She starts each day with a smile and a can-do attitude. Adele is kind to her classmates, friendly to all students, and helpful to her teachers. She is a great addition to our class family. I will miss her so much next year, but I canβt wait to watch her thrive in 4th grade!
4th Grade: Gracelynn Howard
5th Grade: Zander Hargens
Zander is a joy to have in the library. His excitement about books he is reading is contagious and spawns great conversations about book characters, books vs. movies, etc. He brought in a whole stack of books he has either read, or is currently reading. His love of reading is going to take him far in life. I'm so proud of you, Zander! Keep reading!
