Kindergarten

Your student's music program has been scheduled! It will be on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 6:00 pm (please note the time change from previous years). We will also have two day-time performances for the students.

Our program is called "Gather Around the Campfire." It is a silly little music program that will last about 20 minutes.

This program is for ALL Kindergarten students. It will be their only opportunity for performance this school year. If you know your student will not be at either the day-time performances or the evening performance, please let me know as soon as possible (TMartin@usd207.org).

On the evening of the program, students will need to be back at school between 5:40-5:50 p.m. and meet in their classrooms. Please have them give you any coats or jackets as they will not return to their classrooms.

Students will have the opportunity to volunteer for speaking lines. If student wants a speaking line, they will receive one, likewise, if they do not want a speaking line, they will not receive one. Scripts will be passed out during music class. A copy of the script will be added to this website for your reference, but students have not been assigned yet. All lines will be need to be memorized (but I will be in front of the students if any of them forget!)

Students can dress like they are on a camping trip. Please no hats-- they make it difficult to see your student's face!

The week following our program, we will be having a popcorn party in the music room and watch our performance on the SmartBoard. This is a great opportunity to reflect on our performance. If your student cannot have popcorn, please have them bring in a snack to enjoy while we watch our performance.
