Second Sunday of Advent

Advent is a time of preparation. We eagerly await the coming of Christ at Christmas. During this time, we use the Advent wreath as a centrepiece for classroom prayer, and devote extra time in the classroom to worship and praise. We hope that you can continue to prepare as a family for Christmas by attending Sunday Mass together. Our school Mass this month is on Sunday, December 7th at 8:30 AM. We hope to see you there.

Christmas Concert - Carol of the Toys

Our Fine Arts team is ready to share our Christmas Concert, “Carol of the Toys”. We will have 2 performances on Thursday, December 11th at 1:30 PM and 7 PM.

Students are asked to bring their costumes to school in a labelled bag on Monday, December 8th. The costumes will stay at school, and students will change into them at school for each performance. On Thursday, after the matinee, students will wear their costumes home. They are asked to return to school in their costumes for the evening show.

For the evening performance, Cast Members in Grade 7 are asked to arrive at 5:45 PM through the library doors. All other students are asked to arrive between 6:30 PM and 6:45 PM through the main entrance of the school.

The doors will open for audience members at 1:00 pm for the matinee and 6:30 pm for the evening performance.

We are asking for food bank and/or monetary donations as the entry fee for both performances. Thank you for your support and generosity.

O good St. Nicholas, you who are the joy of the children, put in our hearts the spirit of childhood, which the Gospel speaks, and teach us to seed happiness around us.

You, whose feast prepares us for Christmas, open our faith to the mystery of God-made man. You, good bishop and shepherd, help us to find our place in the Church and inspire the Church to be faithful to the Gospel.

O good Saint Nicholas, patron of children, sailors, and the helpless, watch over those who pray to Jesus, your Lord and theirs, as well as over those who humble themselves before you.

Bring us all in reverence to the Holy Child of Bethlehem, where true joy and peace are found. Amen.
