Coin War for a great cause at BWMS
In response to a recent reading of A Long Walk to Water, the 6th grade ELA team is sponsoring a “Coin War” to raise money to benefit Water for South Sudan, a nonprofit organization that helps build wells in Africa. This Coin War will occur next week, March 17 - 21, and all three grades are given the opportunity to compete against one another to see who can bring in the most coins. The goal will be to raise $1000 to send to Water for South Sudan. Students can bring in coins (only coins, please) each day next week to help their 6th-7th-8th grade class win the contest. Coins will be weighed daily to see who is leading the pack! Our 6th grade students have worked hard in class preparing for the Coin War and we are excited to see our school come together for a great cause!
