St Anthony's School News

Week 9 - Thursday 2nd April 2026
St Anthony's School community works collaboratively to teach and live the values of Christ. While respecting tradition, and to meet the demands of a rapidly changing society, it strives to educate our children to their full potential.
Acting Principal's Address
As we come to the final week of term, today we were fortunate to gather as a school community to witness our Year 6 students present the Stations of the Cross. It was a reverent and reflective occasion, providing us all with an opportunity to pause and remember the true meaning of Easter. We thank our Year 6 students and staff for the care and respect shown in their presentation. As we move towards the holidays, we wish all members of our school community a safe and happy Easter break. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday 20th April, refreshed and ready for a new term. I would also like to sincerely thank our staff for their dedication, professionalism and hard work throughout what has been a busy and productive term.
Project Compassion
On Thursday, we marked Project Compassion with a Free Dress Day. It was wonderful to see the students enjoying the day while supporting such an important cause. Thank you to all families for your generous gold coin donations. Throughout the season of Lent, we have also been raising funds through the sale of icy poles. A special thank you to Mrs Therese Bandy for her efforts and contribution in supporting this initiative.
Parent–Teacher Meetings
Yesterday, we welcomed many families to the school for our Parent–Teacher meetings. Thank you for taking the time to attend and engage in these important conversations. The partnership between home and school plays a vital role in supporting each child’s learning and wellbeing, and opportunities like these strengthen that collaboration.
Harmony Day
Last week, our school community came together to celebrate Harmony Day. This is always a valuable opportunity to recognise and celebrate the cultural diversity within our school, while reinforcing the message that everyone belongs. Thank you to the St Anthony’s Cultural Team for their organisation and leadership in making the day meaningful for our students.
Faction Shirt Fridays
Thank you to the families who participated in the recent poll regarding Faction Shirt Fridays. Beginning next term, students are encouraged to wear their faction shirts each Friday. This initiative supports our whole-school focus on teamwork and helps to build a strong sense of belonging within our factions. We will review how this is working at the end of the year.
Year 6 Surfing Program
Our Year 6 students have now completed their surfing program, which has been a fantastic experience for all involved. The program provided students with the opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence in the water, and enjoy the outdoors together. Thank you to Mrs Francis for her organisation and commitment in making this opportunity possible for our students.
Uniform Reminder
As we move into Term 2, students are required to wear the winter uniform. Families are reminded that full uniform details, along with information about the offsite uniform shop, are available on the school website. Wearing the correct school uniform is an important part of fostering pride, unity and a sense of identity within our school community. We appreciate your support in ensuring students are dressed appropriately.
Wishing you all a peaceful and joyful Easter break.
God Bless

Student Spotlight
Recently Liam in Year 2 Blue took to the field at Optus Stadium playing in the half-time show at the Fremantle -v- Melbourne game. He smashed four goals and absolutely lit up the pitch!
We love seeing our students shining beyond the classroom - well done Liam!
🥜Allergy Aware School🥜
We would like to remind families that St Anthony's is an allergy aware school. Therefore, for the health and safety of children and staff with allergies, peanut butter, Nutella, nuts and muesli bars containing nuts are not to be included in your child’s lunch.
