๐ Forty-Eighth Edition: March 2024 ๐
๐บ Welcome to March ๐ผ
With spring on the horizon, we're reminded of the beauty of new beginnings and the importance of self-care. Amidst our dedication to guiding students, let's not overlook our own well-being. Just as flowers require nourishment to bloom, we too must prioritize self-care to thrive. Take time this month for activities that replenish your spirit, whether it's a stroll in nature, a moment of mindfulness, or indulging in a favorite hobby. Remember, by nurturing ourselves, we're better equipped to support others. Here's to a month filled with growth, balance, and self-discovery.
Grateful for you,
Amanda and Nickisha

Brittany McCay
Williams Elementary
Garland ISD
Brittany was recently awarded a $3,000 grant to support her students. Brittany applied for the grant by detailing the need for and use of calming corners in all the classrooms at Williams Elementary. These calming corners will provide students with a safe space in the classroom to use their coping skills. This will help students to practice self-regulation without losing valuable instruction time.
๐Congratulations Brittany! ๐

โWomenโs History Month is a celebration of strong, resilient trailblazers everywhere and a chance to look back with intention on the oft-overlooked contributions of women in our country,โ says Shannon Evers, chief executive officer of Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington and mother of two. โThis is important for girls in particular because there is great power in seeing the example of those that came before you, especially when you can recognize yourself in their stories.โ
Hereโs everything kids need to know about this important celebration, including some engaging and inspiring Womenโs History Month activities to keep the fun and learning going all month long.
