Blackboard Ultra Orientation Due by January 1st for ACCA ATC Dual Enrollment Students
If you are in dual enrollment classes this semester or next semester at ACCA with Athens Technical College, it's important to know that Blackboard will have a different look in January. Everything about Blackboard from the way you access assignments to the way you view your grades will be changing. To make sure you are ready for your spring classes, please complete the NEW Blackboard Orientation by going to this link: https://tcsg.softchalkcloud.com/lesson/serve/7c1IoxUOiTEkAz/html.
As an added bonus of completing this orientation, you will have part of your first assignment in all of your spring classes completed. All classes in the spring will require students to complete this orientation, and your instructor will be able to see which students have or have not completed the new orientation. So please set aside 15 minutes of quiet time to complete the orientation and feel confident this spring as you navigate the new Blackboard Ultra platform.
Upcoming School Nursing Events
- Medlink Classic City High School Based Health Center is NOW OPEN on the H.T. Edwards Campus and will be available for all CCSD students and employees! Students and staff can access Mental and Behavioral Health/Counseling! If you would like to schedule a counseling session, please call the school nurse at 706-357-5239 ext. 20775.
- Help a Child Smile Dental Van will be on the H.T. Edwards Campus at the Early Learning Center on Monday, November 18th from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. ACCA students are welcome to sign up if you don't have a dentist and need a cleaning. See Mrs. Holliday at the ACCA Administrative Offices for a form.
ACCA Breakfast
* If your bus arrives after 8:30 am, please see Ms. Lowe at the ACCA front entrance to receive breakfast. Please write your name on the clipboard if you receive a breakfast after 8:30 am.
ACCA Lunch
* Lunch is provided at ACCA for only FULL DAY students from 11:30 - 11:45 am MTThF (12:00 - 12:15 pm on Wednesdays) in the ACCA lobby.
* ACCA full day students no longer need to sign up for lunch each day.
* ACCA morning and afternoon students will eat lunch at their home high schools each day.
ACCA Lanyards
ACCA students are required to wear their ACCA lanyards and ID badges while on the ACCA campus. If students forget their lanyards, they will be given a temporary ACCA sticker for the day. This helps us ensure that each student transitions into and off our campus in the most efficient way possible and increases the security in our facility.
Parking at ACCA
ACCA currently does not require a parking pass to park on our campus. Students are allowed to park in any available spaces (other than reserved) in the ACCA parking lot as well as any parallel spots on the Dearing Extension in front of the building (please park in the direction of traffic to avoid a parking ticket). Please do not park in any of the surrounding businesses near ACCA or the Early Learning Center parking lot.
CCSD Student Health Form
Parents and guardians: Have you filled out your student's health form for the new school year? If not, please go to qrco.de/CCSDStudentHealth. For questions, contact our campus nurse, Ashley Orrell at orrella@clarke.k12.ga.us
Need to borrow a laptop or charging cord at ACCA?
Students can checkout a laptop and/or a charging cord while on the ACCA campus by checking one out from Ms. Lowe at the ACCA front entrance. These items are only able to be used on a daily basis and must be returned each day to her.

CCSD is implementing updated cell phone guidelines for the 2024-25 school year to improve student engagement, decrease distractions, and improve the overall educational experience in our classrooms.
As a reminder, high school students will be asked to either keep their phones in their backpacks or place them in pouches inside their classrooms.
