Buzzini Garden Renovations are Underway!
We’re excited to share that renovations to the Buzzini Garden are officially underway! Thanks to the generosity of our St. Luke’s community during Kaleidoscope’s Paddles Up last April, we were able to partner with Tobin Smith, father of Calder '32 and Ramsey '31, to bring this project to life. We look forward to creating an incredible outdoor learning and event space for our community to enjoy for years to come!

Week 8: Middle School Is a Time to Step Back
This semester, Rachel Sanborn’s Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Snapshot will feature weekly, parent-friendly takeaways from Jessica Lahey’s book The Gift of Failure. Mrs. Sanborn, along with Student Achievement Coordinator, Donna Finch will wrap up the series with a book talk at the December 1st Parent Council Coffee.
Middle school is an especially important time to begin shifting responsibility from parent to child. Students are developing their identities, learning how to manage increasingly complex responsibilities, and making more independent decisions. Lahey argues that small failures now can prepare children for much bigger challenges later. Our job isn't to eliminate every bump in the road; it's to provide support while gradually handing over the steering wheel.
