Tutoring Times
Students - there is a sheet outside Mrs. Henning's office to mark times you would be interested in having tutoring available weekly throughout the school year. We would like to get that schedule finalized and the resource set up for students.
REMINDER - MAKE SURE YOUR CHROMEBOOK IS CHARGED & WITH YOU IN CLASS.
Email mcalvin@usd462.org or call 620-438-2215 to notify the office
Dress Code Reminder - See Handbook For Full Details
Changes to Missing Assignment Program
MAP will continue with the same procedures on Monday. Any assignment marked Missing in PowerSchool will be referred to MAP, and students will receive a referral sheet by lunchtime. Students should continue to follow the same process of completing the assignment and turning it in to the teacher, having the teacher sign the referral sheet, and then turning the signed referral sheet in to the office to be removed from the list.
Any referral sheets not turned in by 4:00 p.m. on Monday will result in a referral for JH or HS Athletic/Activity Ineligibility. See the handbook for the full eligibility policies, which have not changed.
Students will no longer be required to send pictures of MAP referral sheets home, and parents/guardians will not be contacted by text or email from the school when their student is referred to MAP. Students and parents are encouraged to log in to PowerSchool to monitor assignments marked missing. Parents will be notified if a student is on the ineligible list and participates in an activity.
Students in grades 7–12 will not be required to stay after school for tutoring or MAP this year. Tutoring times will still be available and open to all students. We hope that by not requiring students to stay, they will take ownership of their learning and take advantage of the available tutoring times if they have a quick question or need additional help.
Have You Downloaded the PowerSchool Parent App?
This app allows you to check student grades, missing assignments, and attendance
Powerschool
We will give each student a copy of their Powerschool Student Username during back to school sessions. Students may need help with the directions below to reset their password and get logged in. Students will need to ensure their new password is meeting the listed password requirements if a reset is needed. Ex: 8 letters/numbers, must include capital letter, must include a number, must include a special character.
To log into PowerSchool as a student or parents, you can do the following:
- Open a web browser and go to your school's PowerSchool Student and Parent portal URL. cbusd.powerschool.com/public. You should see the Raider Shield at the top.
- Enter your ID and password, for students this will be printed on the bottom of the PowerSchool letter they recieve on Monday.
If you're a new student, your school will give you an Access ID and Access Password. If you're a returning student, you can use the same Access ID and Access Password from the previous year. If you forget your Access ID, you can contact your school office. If you forget your Password, you should be able to request an email to be sent with reset instructions.
If you're having trouble accessing PowerSchool, you can try these steps:
- If your password has expired, you might need to reset it.
- If you've exceeded the number of allowed sign-in attempts, you might be locked out of PowerSchool. If this happens, you can contact your school.
- If your session times out, you can sign in again.
