Educational Benefits Form
Hello VHS Families.
This is Principal Champion. We need your help! If you haven't already done so, we need you to fill out the Educational Benefits Form. The more forms we fill out the more money we have to fund meals, reduce class sizes, provide mental health services, along with so much else. It should only take a few minutes to fill this form out. You can do this on ParentVue (see included directions) or you can print the form (also included), fill it out and return it to the main office.
What you will need to provide during the application process:
- The names and incomes of every member of your household
- The school, grade, birthdate of every student in your household
- Your electronic signature
- (Optional) A valid email address or phone number for district communication about the status of the application.

Campus Parking Permit Only
All Valley Parking lots are now permit-only.
All vehicles parked on the Valley High School campus during construction must have a parking permit displayed in the window or on the dash. No exceptions.
If you do not have a parking permit, please park on the street.
Vikings,
All parking on Valley Campus now requires a permit. If you do not have a permit, please park on the street.
Parents, when school is out at 3:30, students can not walk in the same direction while buses are entering campus.
We are asking all students who exit campus in the bus parking area on the center parking way to walk toward CRC, not toward Ehrhardt AVE. There is no sidewalk for the students to walk in this direction, and the buses are entering campus in this area.
Back to School Night Sept.3, 2026, 5:30 pm -7:00 pm.
Dismissal Routes:
Center Parkway Driveway: Buses and permit parking only
Students exiting from Center Parkway must walk toward CRC to meet their families, as buses will block the driveway and reroute pedestrians.
Pick up students at the main gym or use the Carlin Avenue gate, which opens this afternoon for family pick-up via the paved route.
Attendance Improvement Program
In Elk Grove Unified School District, every student plays a unique role and has a promising future in our community. Our 'You Belong Here' campaign is a testament to the value of showing up, not just for class, but for every opportunity to learn and grow. Regular attendance is more than just being present; it's about actively participating in a shared journey towards success, where your engagement and involvement are key.
When you attend school regularly, you're setting yourself up for academic achievement, building essential life skills, and strengthening your sense of belonging. Each day you're here, you engage in meaningful lessons, collaborate with peers, and receive support from teachers who are invested in your progress. This sense of belonging is what makes our community supportive and connected. Consistent attendance helps you stay on track with your studies, reduces stress, and builds confidence.
Remember, every day you come to school, you contribute to a vibrant, supportive community where you matter. Your presence in class not only enriches the learning experience for your peers but also fosters a sense of unity and belonging. Together, we can create a learning environment where everyone thrives. So, let's make the most of every school day—because you belong here, and your presence makes all the difference.
Join us, parents and educators, in making each day count! Your support and encouragement play a crucial role in ensuring students attend school regularly and actively participate in the learning process.

📲📱📞Cell🚫 Phones 📞📲🚫
We are so excited to learn and grow together this year. To help us build a focused learning environment where every student can do their best work, we are keeping our classroom phone-free.
- Our goal is for our students to be fully present with each other during class.
- We ask that phones stay tucked away during lesson times.
- This includes quick trips out of the room, like restroom breaks. Phones must be left inside the classroom.
Students CAN use cell phones during these times:
- Before School
- Passing period
- Lunch
- After school
We truly appreciate your support and teamwork!!!
Attention Freshmen💫
🔌💻🔌 Charged chromebooks required 🔌💻🔌
All students will need a charged Chromebook for school. Please charge your Chromebooks the night before school!!
Please bring your Chromebook charger to school
The library DOES NOT give out chargers.
- VHS DOES NOT issue loaner Chromebooks.
If you need to swap your broken Chromebook, please fill out this form.
