LMS Friends,
It has been another fantastic two weeks at LMS. We can't believe it is already November!
Our classrooms are bustling and there was a general excitement as we headed into Halloween. A huge highlight was the halloween advisory door decorating contest that the Student Council organized. We had great participation by advisories and the doors were awesome! We have included some pictures in the Scoop in the Student Council section!
Don't forget to "fall" back on Sunday November 7th for Daylight Saving Time Ending.
Smile, our picture retake day is November 8th!
Please remember we do not have school on November 11th since it is Veterans Day. LMS thanks our veterans for their service!
We look forward to a great two weeks leading into the Thanksgiving Break! Have a terrific weekend! You can look for the next Scoop to come out on November 19th.
Regards,
John P. D'Entremont, Principal

Picture Retake Day - Monday, November 8, 2021 8:00AM
Students who did not have their picture taken on Sept. 13th, should have their picture taken on retake day. We need photos for our LMS yearbook.
Students who had their picture taken on Sept.13th, but did not place an order, may still do so.
*These students received a packet from Geskus with a picture proof. On the proof is a unique number. You can order on-line using that number, or call Geskus directly at 1-800-948-1120 ext. 1.
Students who did not like their Sept. 13th picture, and wish to have it retaken, should do so on retake day.
*You must bring your entire picture order packet with you on retake day in order to have a new picture taken.*
Latest Update by Nancy Pageau
Hello LMS Family,
As the cooler days are upon us, I kindly remind you that your child should arrive at school with their mask in place and a backup in their bag. When they are outdoors in the colder weather there is a good possibility that masks get wet through condensation and will need to be changed out. Cloth masks are still preferred over paper masks which are a single use item.
Covid Vaccines for 5-11 year olds:
This week the CDC approved the Covid Vaccine for the 5-11yo population. NH is rolling out the vaccine over the next few weeks.
How to Find a 5-11 Year Old Vaccine Clinic
- CDC Vaccine Finder: Vaccines.gov
-Public locations that provide covid vaccines
-Selections made by:
Zip code and mile radius
Type of vaccination
- Participating Family and Pediatric Providers
Will be reaching out to their patient populations
- Regional Public Health Networks
Currently in Planning Phase for Clinics
I encourage you to vaccinate your child when the vaccine becomes available to you. If you have any questions, please reach out.
I am gladly accepting updated physicals and immunization records. The NH State Immunization Report is due in 2 weeks and I am still missing many Tdap records( mostly 7th grade students). Any 7-8th grade student interested in signing up for basketball will need a current physical on file with the health office.
Thank You,
Nancy Pageau

Voluntary Pool Testing
To sign up your child, 17 years old or younger, for voluntary COVID testing, please use this link.
For staff and students who are 18 years or older please use this link to sign up for voluntary testing.
When prompted please use the following access codes:
- Lebanon Middle School: 81ZM9C
What will happen if a pool comes back positive?
We will follow this process for unconfirmed or confirmed positive cases:
If by chance a pool comes back positive, we will notify the staff and the families of those students in the pool that there is an unconfirmed positive case.
Students/staff in the pool will be asked to monitor for symptoms and will be tested two days later.
After the follow-up testing, those in the pool will be notified of either the negative or positive result.
The person who tested positive will be asked to isolate and close contacts will be notified per the procedures we have been following since the start of the pandemic. The Superintendent will also inform the larger community of the positive test result.

Social Skill of the Week: Self-Awareness
Over the past three weeks, 5th grade students have been working in the area of Self-Awareness, and more specifically learning about stress. They have learned what stress is, how to prevent it, and how to cope with it when they are experiencing too much stress in their lives.
Students learned a simple acronym called SELF. By remembering SELF they will make sure they get enough sleep, exercise regularly, participate in fun leisure activities, and eat good wholesome food. By doing those things regularly, they will have more balance and a better ability to manage stressful situations.
Students also brainstormed their favorite stress-buster activities or things they like to do when they are feeling stressed. In small groups, students worked together to create a public service announcement informing their fellow students about how to manage stress and tips for dealing with stress.
