Greetings Timberwolves!

As we head into Week 3, We want to thank our students, families, and entire Springwoods Village Middle School community for your continued support and partnership. Our team is still making a few final schedule adjustments to ensure we are positioning every student and our campus for success. We appreciate your patience as we complete this process.

We also have some exciting news to celebrate! TEA recently released the official accountability ratings, and Springwoods Village Middle School improved from a 68 (D) rating in 2024–2025 to an 87 (B) rating for the 2025–2026 school year! This accomplishment is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, families, and community. Thank you for believing in and supporting The Village!

As we continue building on this momentum, every day and every minute matters. We need all students present, on time, and ready to learn every day. Our work continues, and our goal is clear:

68 (D) ➜ 87 (B) ➜ 90+ (A)

We are proud of our progress, but we are not finished. Onward to Destination A!

Student ID Cards Student ID Cards

For the safety and security of everyone on campus, all students are required to wear their school-issued ID badge at all times while on campus. Each student will receive a school ID, a clear plastic badge holder, and a grade-level colored lanyard at the beginning of the school year.

To help staff quickly identify students by grade level, the following lanyard colors are required:

  • 6th Grade: Teal
  • 7th Grade: Gray
  • 8th Grade: Black

Students may only wear the school-approved lanyard color assigned to their grade level. IDs should remain visible throughout the school day and be worn around the neck while on campus.

Temporary & Replacement IDs:

Students who arrive at school without their ID badge may purchase a temporary ID for $1.00. If a student loses their ID, a replacement ID may be purchased for $5.00.

Please note: If the fee for a temporary ID is not paid at the time it is issued, the charge will be added to the student's account. Any outstanding ID balance must be paid before students can purchase tickets or participate in extracurricular activities, dances, field trips, and other school-sponsored events.

Wearing student IDs every day helps us maintain a safe campus, quickly identify students, and ensure a secure learning environment for all Timberwolves.

School Supplies School Supplies

Please review the general school supply list below to help your student prepare for a successful school year. Individual teachers may request additional supplies specific to their classroom during the first week of school.

To support daily instruction, every student will be provided with a Spring ISD Chromebook to access digital curriculum, assignments, and instructional resources throughout the school day.

Please note: Chromebooks are intended for on campus instructional use only and will not be sent home.

We appreciate your partnership in ensuring your student arrives each day prepared and ready to learn.

Personal Communication Device Policy Personal Communication Device Policy

As required by Texas House Bill 1481, Spring ISD students must now keep personal communication devices—such as phones, earbuds, smartwatches, and tablets—off and stored during the instructional day. Students may bring devices to school, but they may not be used or visible between the first and last bell.

Exceptions may be made only in the following cases:

  • A documented medical condition

  • Requirements in an IEP or 504 Plan

  • A verified emergency situation

The purpose of this legislation and Spring ISD's commitment to this policy is driven by the need to:

  1. Enhance focus on learning

  2. Promote positive peer interaction

  3. Reduce negative impacts of social media on students

Definition of "Personal Communication Device" Includes:

  • Cell phones (smartphones, flip phones)

  • Tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, headphones, Meta glasses, radios, pagers, etc.

  • Any other electronic device capable of digital/telecommunication

7th grade Immunization Requirement 7th grade Immunization Requirement

The state of Texas requires all students to be current on their immunizations or provide a current original exemption affidavit to attend school. All incoming 7th graders must have documentation of receipt of two new vaccinations; Tdap/booster and Meningococcal immunizations. Updates must be on file by the first day of school. Please email updated immunization records to SWinston@Springisd.org
