Academy Avenue Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

I hope everyone had a wonderful break from school. Just a reminder that school resumes tomorrow, Monday, February 28, 2022. Opening bell is at 8:55AM and late bell is 9:05 AM. There will be plenty of parking at the Top Lot in the event that sidewalks are still difficult to traverse.

As messaged out last Sunday, the mask mandate is lifted effective February 28, 2022. While students will still need to wear masks on the buses, masks will be optional for students in school buildings. We ask all families to make sure they have conversations with their children to discuss their family plans. We want to make sure students are prepared for the changes they will encounter as school resumes tomorrow.

Masks:

Absences:

If your child has COVID like symptoms, absences will be excused. If symptoms last for 2 or more days, it is required to have a negative COVID test or a note from a provider stating you or your child are clear to return to school. COVID-19 tests can be found at your local pharmacies, and primary/urgent care offices.

Reporting an Absence:

All absences should be reported to the Main Office. Messages can be left on the attendance line at any time, including non school hours. Please leave a detailed message with the students first and last name with the nature of absence. If you would like a return phone call from our nursing staff please include that in your message.
