LMHS Updates
for parents and families ... September 30, 2024
Interim Grade Reports
Interim grade reports for September were emailed last Friday afternoon to all students and parents/guardians. In some ways, these interim reports are "progress reports" - a snapshot of your student's performance at that time. We encourage you to reach out directly to any teacher of a class that you are concerned about; or to your student's school counselor (Shannon Clark for grades 7-9 and Dan Korte for grades 10-12).
The next interim grade report will be issued on Friday, November 1. Between now and then, each Friday afternoon we will email home a weekly "grades and attendance update" to keep you as informed as possible about your student's academic performance. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Attention Juniors and Seniors!
Berkshire Community College is hosting a NEACAC College Fair on Friday, October 18th. Due to staffing limitations on that day, we are unable to provide a bus as we normally would. However, juniors and seniors who register and are signed out by their parent/guardian can attend on their own.
NEACAC College Fair
Friday, October 18, 2024
9:00-11:00am
Paterson Field House (1350 West Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201)
For this partial day absence to be considered excused, the student must register at the link below, and the parent/guardian must write a dismissal note for the purpose of attending the fair. Students are expected to return to school after the fair.
Student Registration
Students can register for NEACAC fairs at www.StriveFair.com. Upon registration, StriveScan sends them a barcode via text message and email, which they show to reps at the college fair. Registering for a barcode provides students with more information on each institution and allows them to connect with schools even after the event. There is no cost for students to register for a barcode.

Combatting Hate in Our Schools
The state Attorney General's Office and the Governor's Office have compiled the information below -- "Combatting Hate in Our Schools - A Guide For Families and Students." Please review this important information, and contact Principal Gregg Brighenti with any questions or concerns that you may have.
All members of the school community - parents, staff, and students - have access to our anonymous reporting tool. This can be accessed at any time from the LMHS web page. From there, click on the "See Something, Do Something" box.
